Bianca CensorYE: From ‘Girl-Next-Door’ to West’s Latest Project

Okay, this has been headlining the news for quite some time now. But honestly, the clothes that Kanye continues to pick out for his new wife, Bianca Censori, are continuing to shock and amaze. So let’s chat real quick, because this doesn’t seem ok.
Kanye West has been known to dress his partners in a very specific style (remember when he surprised Julia Fox with ALL that Diesel?), and his new wife Bianca Censori is no exception. The couple have been spotted wearing matching outfits on several occasions, and Censori’s style has definitely changed since she started dating Ye.
At a church service in June, Bianca wore a sheer black dress with a giant foam neck brace that encircled her shoulders and face. The dress was apparently designed by Kanye’s fashion brand, Yeezy, and it was met with mixed reactions from fans. Some people thought it was a bold and daring look, while others thought it was too bougie beekeeper slash human condom (it’s me, I am others).
Also, with all the issues women have to deal with already, should we really promote having men dress us with our hands bound and face covered?
She has been seen on several occasions wearing a t-shirt on her head, often in place of a hat or scarf. This has people assuming that she is trying to hide her identity, or that she is simply trying to make a fashion statement.
There is also the stream of selfies she posted wearing nothing but body tape… which were, er, artsy?
Some people have criticized Kanye for his choice of clothing for Bianca, calling it too restrictive and uncomfortable but we shouldn’t forget that Ye has a history of playing dress-up with his partners. Kim used to say that Kanye was her “style guru” so we wait with bated breath to see if Bianca agrees…
Ultimately, it is up to Bianca to decide what she feels comfortable wearing (but is it really?). However, it is clear that West has a strong influence on her style, and it will be interesting to see how her fashion evolves in the future.
