This year’s Bokeh Fashion Film Festival took place this past Saturday on the 13th July at the V&A Waterfront, and the fashion on the red carpet varied from designer chic to outright crazy (and when I say crazy, I obviously mean it in the most fabulous way possible!).
“The festival brings together creatives in the Film, Fashion, Artistic and related technical industries to celebrate their craft twice a year.”
Over the past several years, the South African Bokeh Film Festival has consistently delivered a world class platform for both local and international speakers, film makers, fashion designers and guests to mingle, sip champagne, indulge in the finest food and take in the most inspiring Fashion Films on offer.
MAC cosmetics was one of the many sponsors of the event and the incredible makeovers that they showcased were extraordinary. Models dressed in nothing but body paint and the bare minimum caught your eye throughout the evening and made for the perfect entourage when wanting to snap the ultimate Instagram pictures.
The exclusive event took place amongst all of the high-end and luxury stores within the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town. Gucci’s interior became the backdrop for social media posts, Champagne was being sipped while browsing the latest Versace collections and Pringle was even transformed into a dance floor.
One of Fashion’s most adored world-wide sponsors, Mercedes-Benz, made sure that their most impeccable and exclusive cars were scattered throughout the venue for everyone to admire. They contributed greatly toward the ‘VIP’ status of the night.
Marketing Strategist Cathy Steed, and Retail Manager of the V&A Waterfront Sheri Omoh selected the Best Dressed Man and Woman of the night. Winners Bradley Keen and Abongwe Qokela both walked away with a luxury hamper including gifts from Sunglass Hut, Tomes Luxury Chocolates, Sebastian, SKIN Fragrances, Mont Blanc, Coach, Michael Kors, La Martina, Chopard, V&A Waterfront, Pringle of Scotland and Witchery!
