At the beginning of this month I, Jessica Gaertner, had the honour of being interviewed by the lovely Jeannie D on the Afternoon Express show. I was able to talk about some of my experiences that I have had in the fashion industry and what I have accomplished so far, but my main reason for being on the show was to talk about my recent partnership with both Gert-Johan Coetzee and TEARS Foundation.

Part I

I am currently running a once-in-a-lifetime competition where you can stand the chance to win your very own custom-made dress up to the value of R45 000 by Gert-Johan Coetzee. The winner’s couture experience begins with a consultation with Gert himself, in which they will begin planning the creation of their dreams.

Part II

Gert-Johan Coetzee is a critically acclaimed, award-winning South African designer who is known for his dazzling and dramatic couture and red carpet gowns. He has dressed celebrities across the globe such as Kourtney Kardashian, Oprah Winfrey, Kelly Rowland, Nomzamo Mbatha, Minnie Dlamini, Ayanda Thabethe and Bonang Matheba, to name just a few.

By donating a minimum of R25 to the TEARS Foundation via the Backabuddy link on my competition page, you will receive five (yes, FIVE!) additional entries into the competition to improve your chances of winning. TEARS Foundation provides access to crisis intervention, advocacy, counselling, and prevention education services for those impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault and child sexual abuse.

Tumi Morake is supporting this amazing cause and competition!

This is a personal project for me as I experienced an incident of sexual assault as a child. It may have only happened once, but there is no experience too small. If it felt wrong its because it was wrong! So please, donate towards this necessary and amazing cause.
