Wedding season is officially upon us, which means that our wardrobes need to get photo op ready. Because if there is one thing that all women know (and no man will ever understand) it’s that we cannot outfit repeat when we know there are going to be so many pictures taken.

So I took the liberty of putting together some of the best places in SA to get ensembles for the occasion (rental options included – because sometimes our bank accounts don’t seem to keep up with our vision boards).

1. Shana Morland

Shana is based in Cape Town and has her own store on Kloof Street. All of her garments are made locally with an emphasis on good construction techniques and design, resulting in great timeless pieces. Plus, if you have a little one, her kids range for little girls is unbelievably gorgeous! Visit her website www.shanamorland.com

2. Cape Town Dress Hire

Cape Town Dress Hire is the largest and most on trend, high-end dress hire service in South Africa. They offer an extensive selection of gorgeous imported designer dresses and gowns for a fraction of their retail value. Allowing their customers to be red carpet ready at any given moment without the hefty price tag. Visit their website: www.capetowndresshire.com.

3. Klûk CGDT

Malcolm Klûk and Christiaan Gabriel Du Toit are the creative force behind Klûk CGDT and three times past “African Designers of the Year”. Their label represents the culmination of two designers’ passion and vision of bringing the African Continent an international experience of fashion. Visit their website: www.klukcgdt.com
