Combining Nail Art and Luxury Labels

Combining Nail Art and Luxury Labels

Even though I’m obsessed with nail art, it’s important to note that I am only obsessed with good nail art. I am super fussy when it comes to choosing an artist, but when I find the right one, I tend to commit and go all out. I love showcasing my favourite luxury fashion labels on my nails. Some of the brands I have opted for in the past have been: Fendi, Gucci, Chanel and Off-White.

I have only ever lived in two places – London and Cape Town – and in both locations, I have my go-to salons and my go-to nail technicians. In Cape Town, there is no doubt about it, Marina de Mink (A.K.A Marina de Mink Nail Guru) is the best there is. Not only is she incredibly talented but also business savvy. During the COVID-19 lockdown period she took the initiative to create an amazing online business and actually sent custom nails to your home and created absolutely anything you could dream of. However, now that restrictions have started lifting, you can find her in her new studio on Kloof Street.

In London, there is no place to go but WAH Nails. You are literally transported into every girl’s paradise when you step inside. The studio is based in Soho and has a gorgeous interior that lights up with neon signage. I have only had an experience with one of their artists, but I was so overwhelmingly impressed that I will never choose anyone else. Anouska Anastasia has to be one of the best nail artists around the globe. I honestly have no idea how she does what she does, but it is like watching a live art show.
