I was lucky to be the key wardrobe stylist for one of Tanqueray Gin SA’s latest advertising campaigns. I wanted to make it unique whilst still captivating the luxury of the brand. I created three completely different feels for three of their gin labels: T Ten; London Dry and Flor de Sevilla.

There was a cast of eight models, with one of the stars of the shoot being one of Style Authority’s favourites – Blue Mbombo. I featured several pieces from Gert-Johan Coetzee as well as a variety of luxury, South African labels from Merchants on Long in Cape Town. The small boutique store houses a wide range of incredible creations from designers such as: Laurence Airline; Maki Oh; Masa Mara; MaXhosa by Laduma; Ethnik by Tunde Owollabi and Lukhanyo Mdingi (to name just a few). I then went on to source from young, South African, up-and-coming designers that had recently graduated.

I mixed and matched the looks with some pieces from Armani, Tiger of Sweden and Michael Kors, and accessorised them with both standout and elegant pieces from Uwe Koetter Jewellers and Kirsten Goss. I loved that I was able to play with gorgeous colours and textures and create something that was truly unique and that stood out.

The stills were taken by renowned South African photographer Jan ver Boom, whilst the cast was made up of both local and international talent.
