My Day on Set with Adriana Lima

Adriana Lima is hands down one of the loveliest people I’ve had the privilege of working with. The shoot that I assisted on was for W Magazine which was like a dream come true, and besides the embarrassment of wiping out with a bag full of clothes on arrival, the day went pretty smoothly. The shoot was styled by the renowned Katie Grand, and was titled ‘Lady of Leisure.’
We shot in the most beautiful art deco inspired home in west London that was so immaculately kept, we were instructed to lay plastic bags over the carpets and take off our shoes. The former Victoria’s Secret Angel played the role of a lavish housewife and was photographed around the house doing various chores and activities – from cooking and playing golf, to cleaning the pool and eating breakfast in bed. The gorgeous Lucan Gillespie also debuted in a few of the shots and played the role of a fellow ‘lady of leisure.’
The clothes and accessories were, of course, AMAZING. Both Adriana and Lucan were dressed in Gucci, Miu Miu, Marc Jacobs, Balmain and Schiaparelli couture (to name just a fraction of the wonderfulness that was on set).
Adriana was super friendly and sat down to relax, chat and have lunch with us when we had a few minutes to spare. She spoke to us about her eating and exercise routines and how she manages to stay in such flawless shape. I wish some of the information was retained in my brain and that the advice would have stuck – but evidently not.
I would say it has to be one of my favourite projects to have assisted on.. Although I tend to say that about all of them. Xx
